[LINK] Argentinian and British veterans on the Falklands War

Two veterans of the Falklands/Malvinas war, one from the Argentine Navy and one from the British Army, discuss their experiences at Comment is Free. Understandably, these two gentlemen provide more sensible insights than any wistful Thatcherite or has-been musician.

Roberto Herrscher (Argentine Navy): The way I see it, you were not responsible, it was General Galtieri and Margaret Thatcher and the warmongers on both sides. That piece of land was not worth all those lives.

Tony McNally (British Army): The way I see it, the Falklanders pay their taxes just like everyone else, so they're entitled to a military defence, if that's what they wish.
